[1 - 1] there's no denying that bodybuilding is
[1 - 3] expensive you're told that you need to
[3 - 5] buy this product spend on that in order
[5 - 6] to get the physique that you want
[6 - 8] hopefully with this video no matter your
[8 - 10] financial position you can be on the
[10 - 11] path to a better version of yourself i
[11 - 13] grew up in south africa where families
[13 - 15] live off as much as 20 dollars per month
[15 - 17] and being exposed to that it's ingrained
[17 - 18] one thing in me i can't stand the sight
[18 - 20] of wasting so no matter my financial
[20 - 22] position i'll do my best to limit waste
[22 - 27] and save where i can
[29 - 29] first things first your gym membership
[29 - 31] most universities and high schools have
[31 - 33] gyms and they offer super affordable
[33 - 35] packages to members of the public you'll
[35 - 37] most likely have to train outside of
[37 - 39] school or busy hours even if they don't
[39 - 40] publicly advertise it there's certainly
[40 - 42] no harm in asking possibly the logic
[42 - 44] expense for me every month is food
[44 - 46] namely protein chicken breast is a
[46 - 47] staple in bodybuilding and it's
[48 - 49] relatively well priced but you do also
[50 - 51] get frozen chicken breasts which are
[51 - 53] found to be around half the price of
[53 - 54] fresh i mentioned this in previous
[54 - 56] videos but in most countries you get
[56 - 58] local meats for example in south africa
[58 - 60] we get ostrich ireland and kudu but in
[60 - 62] some parts of europe you get reindeer
[62 - 64] and in the u.s even buy some these are
[64 - 67] often much cheaper and often higher
[67 - 69] quality so it's best to ask around your
[69 - 70] local butchery and see which meats are
[70 - 72] available just make sure you check the
[72 - 74] macros beforehand another old-school
[74 - 77] approach to protein is liver okay hear
[77 - 79] me out is not as bad as it seems from my
[79 - 82] findings i found beef liver for a
[82 - 83] quarter of a price of chicken breast and
[84 - 86] its macros are really decent it really
[86 - 87] can taste quite good fried with some
[87 - 89] spices but be sure to check online for
[89 - 91] some other recipes another alternate
[91 - 93] approach is lentils it's a plant but
[93 - 95] it's packed in protein it's super cheap
[95 - 96] and sometimes i'll add it to my rice for
[96 - 98] that extra protein and now for
[98 - 102] everyone's least favorite vegetables
[102 - 103] markets and wholesale supplies are going
[103 - 105] to be your best bet frozen vegetables
[105 - 107] are also a very good approach they're
[107 - 109] convenient and accessible another major
[109 - 111] plus you don't have to worry about them
[111 - 112] dying in the back your fridge carbs are
[112 - 114] generally very well priced but you can
[114 - 116] still save some money with potatoes or
[116 - 118] other fresh carbs see if you can find a
[118 - 120] market or wholesale supplier it's often
[120 - 122] much cheaper but you are paying with
[122 - 123] your time because when you do buy these
[124 - 125] goods they're not washed kind of looks
[125 - 126] like they just came out the ground give
[126 - 128] them a little rinse and you're good to
[128 - 130] go often one thing that's not considered
[130 - 132] when saving costs is preparation when
[132 - 134] you fail to prepare you spend more money
[134 - 135] when you're at work you don't have your
[135 - 137] meals you're forced to buy from a store
[137 - 139] or order from a restaurant it's not
[139 - 140] optimal for your macros and if done
[140 - 142] every day can get very expensive for
[142 - 144] emergency situations what i've done is
[144 - 146] leave a tub of protein in the car if i'm
[146 - 148] stuck i just put some water in a shaker
[148 - 149] and i'm good another general rule of
[150 - 152] thumb is to shop around buy in bulk and
[152 - 154] buy things on sale throughout this one
[154 - 155] of the best pieces of advice i can give
[155 - 157] you is to get creative look at ways that
[157 - 159] you can make bodybuilding a part of your
[159 - 160] current lifestyle all of our lives are
[160 - 163] different and one thing you can't do is
[163 - 165] chase perfection because doing 50
[165 - 167] is better than doing nothing at all
[167 - 168] hopefully this can save you some money
[168 - 171] i'll see you next time
