[2 - 2] hi this is lisa mcmanus from atk
[2 - 3] gearheads and i'm here to answer some of
[3 - 5] the questions that you had about our
[6 - 9] um let's get started
[9 - 11] first why does atk recommend a non-stick
[11 - 14] angel food cake pan as its winner when
[14 - 16] the majority of recipes on other baking
[16 - 19] sites say don't use a non-stick angel
[20 - 23] well we tested both non-stick and not
[23 - 26] non-stick angel food cake pans and
[27 - 29] honestly the cake climbed just fine the reason
[29 - 31] the cake climbed just fine the reason they say don't use nonstick is because
[31 - 34] you want the cake to get very tall
[34 - 35] it climbed just fine in our winning
[37 - 38] and then when it came time to come out
[38 - 40] it actually came out of the pan the one
[40 - 43] that had no nonstick coating
[43 - 45] rose nice and tall but then we struggled
[45 - 47] to get it out of the pan also our
[47 - 49] winning pan has a removable bottom which
[49 - 51] makes it even easier so we got great
[52 - 54] results and the cake came right out
[54 - 57] so we recommend a non-stick tube pan or
[57 - 59] angel food cake pan someone was asking
[59 - 61] where they can get the lid to the baking
[61 - 63] sheet we have a half sheet pan by nordic
[65 - 67] ware nordic ware also makes the lid for the
[67 - 69] nordic ware also makes the lid for the baking sheet it comes in the half sheet
[70 - 71] size and the quarter sheet size and it
[71 - 74] fits the respective half sheet pans from
[76 - 78] nordicware they're available on amazon
[78 - 79] they're available on amazon and you can buy them i believe if you
[79 - 81] haven't got the baking sheet you can buy
[81 - 83] it as a set with the baking sheet or you
[83 - 84] can buy it separately someone was asking
[84 - 87] about the cooling rack um set inside the
[87 - 89] half sheet pan when you use it for
[89 - 91] broiling and for meats
[91 - 95] is there a secret to cleaning it after
[95 - 97] yes um it can get a little messy because
[97 - 100] we love the the grid style and some of
[100 - 101] those little corners will get things in
[101 - 104] them what i do is i put the baking sheet
[104 - 107] into the sink and then i invert the rack
[109 - 111] inside the baking sheet so that the grid part
[111 - 114] the baking sheet so that the grid part is on the bottom and then i fill it with
[114 - 117] hot soapy water and i let it sit yeah 20
[117 - 119] minutes or whatever and come back with a
[119 - 121] scrub brush um our favorite winning
[121 - 123] scrub brush is by oh cedar and it's
[123 - 125] really good at scrubbing little corners
[125 - 127] of things i have it right up here on my
[128 - 130] sink um and i just grab that and i give it a
[130 - 133] um and i just grab that and i give it a little scrub and it rinses right off so
[133 - 135] that's been my trick for getting all the
[135 - 137] little nooks and crannies clean
[137 - 140] and i hope it works for you
[140 - 141] if you don't have room in your sink you
[141 - 143] can just set it on the counter obviously
[143 - 145] invert it and put the hot soapy water in
[145 - 147] and let it soak for dry measuring why
[147 - 150] not use weights instead of volume won't
[150 - 152] that provide a more accurate result
[153 - 156] yeah most baking recipes do use weights you
[156 - 158] most baking recipes do use weights you know for professional bakers they all
[158 - 160] use weights rather than volume
[160 - 162] one of the things we really try to do is
[162 - 164] not make you buy equipment you might not
[164 - 166] have and everyone usually has measuring
[166 - 168] cups and spoons but they don't
[168 - 170] necessarily have a scale
[170 - 172] we really think you should get a scale
[172 - 174] and we do provide some weights in some
[174 - 176] of our baking recipes and we can we're
[176 - 179] doing that more and more but if you
[179 - 180] don't you will still be able to have a
[180 - 183] good result if you use measuring cups
[183 - 186] and spoons and don't have a scale and
[186 - 187] remember you know when you're measuring
[187 - 189] you want to dip
[189 - 190] into the ingredient and then sweep
[190 - 193] across on a level with a flat like back
[193 - 194] of a knife or something and that will
[194 - 196] give you the most accurate measurement
[196 - 198] one of the questions we saw was that
[198 - 200] someone commented that the roasting pan
[200 - 201] with rack that we've recommended for
[202 - 204] several years has been discontinued and
[204 - 206] we were sad about that but we went right
[206 - 208] out really quickly and retested because
[208 - 209] we know it's the season that you're
[209 - 211] going to be using these things we have a
[211 - 213] new winner it's called the cuisinart
[213 - 216] multi-clad pro stainless 16-inch
[216 - 218] roasting pan with rack we fully
[218 - 220] recommend it it's our new winner okay so
[220 - 222] thanks for all those great questions and
[222 - 223] we hope to see you next time on
