[2 - 2] what's up guys welcome back summer is on
[2 - 4] the way and that means it's about to be
[4 - 5] hot as hell and sometimes you don't want
[6 - 7] to get in the kitchen and turn the oven
[7 - 9] or the stove on and that to me means
[9 - 11] it's sandwich season so today I'm going
[11 - 12] to show you guys how to make this
[12 - 15] delicious chopped Italian sandwich but
[15 - 17] before we get into that please take a
[17 - 18] quick second to subscribe to the channel
[18 - 20] make sure you hit that Bell today with
[20 - 21] notifications as well all right guys
[21 - 23] first things first this recipe is super
[23 - 25] simple comes together really quickly but
[25 - 26] I am going to show you a few different
[26 - 28] ways to elevate this dish or this
[28 - 30] sandwich by making a couple things from
[30 - 32] scratch starting with the balsamic
[32 - 34] reduction for that we're gonna need
[34 - 43] about one cup of balsamic vinegar
[46 - 46] want to bring that to a simmer
[46 - 48] and our balsamic reduction literally
[48 - 49] means you're going to reduce the
[49 - 51] balsamic vinegar until it thickens up
[51 - 52] we're going to add a little honey to
[52 - 54] sweeten things up and help with the
[54 - 56] thickening process this takes about 10
[61 - 61] all right my friend so after eight to
[61 - 62] ten minutes you can kind of see it's
[62 - 64] already thickening up beautifully
[64 - 65] we're now going to add about a
[65 - 67] tablespoon or two of Honey depending on
[67 - 70] how sweet you want it to be I'm going
[70 - 72] with somewhere maybe a tablespoon and a
[72 - 74] half meet in the middle
[74 - 76] meet in the middle you can also use just regular sugar here
[77 - 79] I like honey though so that's what we're
[80 - 82] using we're just going to mix that in and as
[82 - 84] we're just going to mix that in and as it cools it'll thicken up even more but
[84 - 86] once you see you kind of part the Red
[86 - 89] Sea like that the longer the line holds
[89 - 91] the thicker the sauce is
[91 - 93] and this is exactly where we want it to
[93 - 95] be so once that honey is mixed in
[95 - 98] we'll add it to a bowl or a mason jar
[98 - 101] perfect for sandwiches and salads and

[134 - 137] se37090 for 50 off your first box all
[138 - 139] right guys so the next thing we're going
[139 - 141] to do to elevate this dish is make our
[141 - 143] own oil and vinegar mix right from
[143 - 145] scratch kind of like a Jersey Mike style
[145 - 146] but it's gonna be a little bit better
[146 - 148] we're getting started with one cup of
[148 - 152] olive oil into a mixing bowl
[153 - 155] followed by a quarter cup of red wine
[157 - 160] vinegar good quality olive oil going in
[160 - 162] good quality olive oil going in and then some red wine vinegar right
[167 - 167] I'm just going to eyeball this
[167 - 170] nobody wants a dry sandwich so we're
[170 - 172] getting the party started with a couple
[172 - 173] things that's going to elevate the
[173 - 175] flavor and help the sandwich Go Down
[175 - 177] Smooth we're also going to add some
[177 - 180] Italian herb paste
[180 - 184] about a teaspoon or so of that
[187 - 187] followed by some AP seasoning gorgeous
[187 - 189] some salt and pepper
[189 - 190] they're going to hit it with some
[190 - 192] Italian seasoning also
[192 - 194] tons of flavor in this you can use this
[195 - 197] as a salad dressing
[197 - 201] a little garlic salt
[202 - 202] and we're just going to break out the
[202 - 206] Whisk and give that a good mix
[206 - 208] you can add this to a squirt bottle or
[208 - 210] you can just spoon it right over top of
[210 - 212] your salad or your sandwich
[212 - 215] nice simple vinaigrette oil and vinegar
[215 - 222] whatever you want to call it
[224 - 224] all right so next up we're going to
[224 - 226] toast our bread today we're going with a
[226 - 228] simple pogi roll sub roll whatever you
[228 - 230] want to call it use whatever you got or
[231 - 232] whatever you like we're going to cut
[232 - 236] this right in half like so
[241 - 241] to both sides but we're going to also
[241 - 243] add some mozzarella cheese to the bottom
[243 - 245] side because why the hell not We're Here
[245 - 247] for a Good Time not a long time so we're
[247 - 249] gonna take a little melted butter
[249 - 252] just to help in the toasting process
[252 - 255] just spread that right on there
[262 - 262] try to get it on the bread and not on
[263 - 266] the sheet pan
[268 - 268] just a nice little application of butter
[268 - 270] that's going to go in the oven at 400
[270 - 273] until it gets nice and toasty next up we
[273 - 275] got a nice tomato here you need your
[275 - 278] serrated blade it's a properly slice a
[278 - 280] tomato we want nice thin slices
[280 - 283] that we're going to season because
[283 - 285] nobody wants a bland ass tomato on their
[286 - 291] sandwich three or four slices to do the trick
[292 - 292] all right so we're gonna throw our
[292 - 294] tomato right on top of the lettuce we're
[294 - 296] making a chopped sandwich right now this
[296 - 297] is super viral you can see it all over
[297 - 300] social media I didn't really see the
[300 - 301] hype until I actually tried it the hype
[301 - 303] is when you do this it's kind of like
[303 - 304] when you chop up a salad you get a more
[304 - 306] consistent bite throughout your sandwich
[306 - 308] the same way you would if you chopped up
[308 - 310] your salad it's delicious guys try it
[310 - 312] it's a little extra work obviously when
[312 - 312] you're making a sandwich you probably
[312 - 314] don't want to work that hard but it's
[314 - 316] worth a try so here we have our lettuce
[316 - 318] and tomato next up we're gonna add some
[318 - 319] salami some prosciutto and some
[319 - 322] soprasada all the meats as they say at
[324 - 333] Arby's foreign
[334 - 334] favorites we're going to add some
[334 - 337] sun-dried tomatoes mostly because I'm
[337 - 338] addicted to them they're delicious
[338 - 340] they're great on all sandwiches and
[340 - 343] salads we're gonna add that
[343 - 344] and then we'll give it a chop can't
[344 - 346] forget that provolone cheese you use
[346 - 349] whatever cheese you like
[349 - 350] a few slices of that I'm gonna break out
[350 - 353] our nice sharp knife and give it a chop
[353 - 355] right before we chop our sandwich we're
[355 - 356] gonna go ahead and go down some fresh
[356 - 359] mozzarella just for a little Razzle
[361 - 363] Dazzle I'm gonna let that get nice and toasted
[363 - 366] I'm gonna let that get nice and toasted melted browned and beautiful
[366 - 368] and that's be the bottom side of our
[369 - 371] roll all right so this part is super simple
[371 - 373] all right so this part is super simple guys no right or wrong way to do it
[373 - 375] just break out a nice sharp knife
[375 - 377] and you want to chop it up into
[377 - 378] bite-sized pieces that way you get a
[378 - 380] nice consistent bite
[380 - 390] throughout your sandwich
[392 - 392] so once you got everything chopped up
[392 - 393] nicely we're going down with that
[394 - 398] homemade oil and vinegar all the Italian flavors
[398 - 400] oil and vinegar all the Italian flavors a little garlic
[400 - 405] don't get much better than that
[417 - 417] we're going to give that a mix and throw
[417 - 420] that right on our toasted sub Roll All
[420 - 421] right so as you can see we have our
[421 - 424] cheese melted beautifully on the other
[424 - 426] side we're gonna hit that with some mayo
[426 - 428] a little dupes mayonnaise never hurt
[428 - 430] nobody unless you're one of those weird
[430 - 432] people that don't like mayonnaise
[432 - 434] and then I can't really help you but use
[434 - 436] whatever you like
[436 - 437] make sure you don't have a dry sandwich
[437 - 440] though that's the key
[440 - 443] next up we're going to take our chopped
[445 - 450] Italian mixture and go right on top of our
[450 - 453] mixture and go right on top of our bottom piece of our
[461 - 461] put it together like so
[461 - 463] and there you have it folks
[463 - 465] that chopped Italian sandwich and this
[465 - 467] is the part where I say brace yourself
[467 - 469] for a trademark money shot say it with
[469 - 471] me guys looking good
[471 - 472] the only thing left to do is getting
[472 - 475] here for a taste test but before we do
[475 - 476] that please take a quick second to
[476 - 477] subscribe to the channel make sure you
[477 - 479] hit that Bell to enable notifications as
