Directions

Mix the minced onion, jalapeño, and cilantro in the bottom of a medium bowl.
Add the lime juice and salt to the onion mixture.
Cut the avocados in half and remove the pits.
Use a knife to score each avocado half in a grid pattern, being careful not to cut through the skin.
Use a soup spoon to scoop the avocado chunks cleanly into the bowl with the onion mixture.
Turn the avocado chunks over a few times to coat them with the dressing.
Taste the mixture, and add more lime juice, salt, or cilantro to taste if needed.
Use a fork to mash the avocado chunks to your desired consistency, or leave them as is for a chunkier texture.
